Frequently asked questions

Can I pay for a membership for my mom or dad? Yes. Many of our members are gifted by a son, daughter or grandchild. Create the account with your parent’s email address, choose Monthly or Yearly, and pay with your own card. Your parent signs in with their own email and password.

Do I need a new phone? No. Lessons work with iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets from the last few years.

Is the text large enough? Yes. The whole site uses large, high-contrast text, and you can make it even bigger with your browser.

Do I get a certificate? Yes. Complete every lesson and pass each quiz (70%) to earn a printable certificate.

What happens if I cancel? Access continues until the end of your billing period. Courses and paths bought individually stay yours.

Will anyone ask for my bank details? Never. Payments go through secure Stripe checkout, and our Tech Helper will never ask for passwords, PINs or codes.

How long does a lesson take? Most lessons take 7 to 10 minutes. Stop whenever you like; the site remembers where you were.

Can I print the lessons? Yes. Every lesson ends with a printable cheat sheet. Use your browser’s Print option and keep the sheet by your phone or computer.

Can I learn on a computer instead of a phone? Yes. Computer and Laptop Basics is free, and every lesson works in any modern browser.
